Light in Darkness

One day, within this darkness, a gentle light will turn on.  Even for a moment, you will feel its illuminating warmth and bask in its magnificent splendor.  When that moment passes and the darkness settles in, you will notice a change in your being, for you have now known hope.  You have seen abundance.  You have felt freedom.  So even when that darkness consumes the very construct of your presence, you know a world unique.  And when you grab hold of that luminous teaching, your being will infinitely feel home.

But when that gentle light one day turns on for longer than a moment, you must not let it consume you, but rather  welcome its warmth.  For the switch is not controlled by you or me, and we must prepare ourselves for both the light and the darkness by holding closely what we know.  The power is within our reach and only we can feel it.
